So this time of year is always a bit of a struggle for me. I don’t like the darker nights and I struggle to get motivated with training.

After doing the Brutal I thought I would be able to get back to proper training soon after but apparently not!

Its hard not going long but you really need to listen to your body – I think I’ve finally got the message!

Today I went for a little ride – at first I thought ‘whats the point’ as I was only out for an hour but its hard to remember sometimes that its ok not to go out for a 4 hour ride – especially at this time of year.

So keep plugging at whatever you are training for and don’t forget that little ride or run or swim is enough if it makes you feel better and gives you a buzz. Plus then you can eat some Christmas choccy’s!
